Community involvement: SPCA, OK Dog Owners Association, Private consulting with clients.
History: I made a career change at the age of 56, after many years of various types of employment. I moved from Kelowna to Maple Ridge for over 3 months to attend the only government recognized pet grooming school in BC at that time. With hands on training and testing I graduated with a 93% average. I opened my shop in January of 2009 in the back of the longest running Dog Daycare in Kelowna.
Background: Varied occupations, bartender, bar manager, dispatcher, and customer service for international courier company, executive assistance for Corporate Vice President, Coordinator for the Kelowna Disability Games, Veterinary office assistant, Dog day care employee, Groomer.
Mission statement: Doggy Doo’z is committed to providing Okanagan pet owners with professional, attentive, clean, friendly service with the best stress free pet grooming possible for furry family members.
Future goals: Continue to upgrade my grooming studies and skills. With time and money acquire more equipment allowing more services to be offered. Provide the best service in Kelowna and its dog/cat population.
